Plot to kill Zardari foiled


The security agencies were successful in foiling an attempt to kill President Asif Ali Zardari and have arrested 8 terrorists from Islamabad and Punjab, reliable sources informed a national newspaper.
The sources told that these terrorists were planning to target the President at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where Hakim Ali Zardari was admitted. A total of 8 out of 15 terrorists have been arrested, they added.
The sources said that the President visited PIMS many times when Hakim was admitted there. Many terrorists impersonating themselves as labourers kept monitoring the movement of the President and providing information to their mastermind at Bhara Kahu, Islamabad. Meanwhile, the intelligence agencies intercepted the conversation and the President was asked to restrict his movement, the sources added.
The sources further revealed that later the security agencies arrested the mastermind from Bhara Kahu. During interrogation he revealed that 15 terrorist were given the task to attack the President at PIMS. The sources said that out of these eight terrorists, 3 were arrested from Islamabad while 5 others were held from Punjab.
