The Government College University (GCU), Lahore, has announced that it is going to start a four-year Bachelors in Commerce (Hons) programme from this academic year 2011. Admissions to the programme would be accepted after the announcement of intermediate results by the boards .
Registrar of the university Prof Anjum Nisar said that admissions to the BCom programme would be strictly on merit basis. He said that only those who have passed Higher Secondary Schools Certificate (intermediate) examinations (Pre-engineering, ICS, ICom, General Sciences and DCom) in the first annual examinations 2011 and second annual examinations 2010 will be eligible to apply and no result awaiting students are eligible.
