Sindh local government ordinance 2001 has been restored across Sindh

It has been decided that the local bodies election in all Sindh districts will be on the basis of Local govt ordinance 2001. It has been decided in a meeting held at the house of Pir Mazar-ul-Haq where PPP stalwarts from Sindh were present. However final decision will be taken by President Asif Ali Zardari. It may have been decided due to strong opposition from Sindhi nationalists against dual local govt system in the province and declared to observe a strike .
