The induction ceremony of Thalassemia diagnostic machine was held here at the Children Cancer Hospital (CCH) on Monday under the aegis of Afzal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation.
President Karachi Chamber of Commerce Industry (KCCI) Saeed Shafique was the chief guest who inaugurated the machine worth Rs 6 million.
It will be helpful in diagnosis and treatment of the patients as it was direly needed.
It was also stressed that govt should legislate that before marriage couples should go for screening of thalasemia and some other diseases to prevent them to be transferred to the children.
